Comment:

I have recently been asked to help out a friend who has an office in a business centre. The centre has one big network, which is used to share an ADSL link, a mail server, and some telephone stats software. We want to install a separate ADSL line for the use of his office alone, but still giving him access to the rest of the network. Can this be done by simply having the new ADSL router configured with an ip address of say,
192.168.0.253 (the existing ADSL router is 192.168.0.254). If we then change the default gateway on his workstations to match the new ADSL router's ip address, will this allow use of the new ADSL line without affecting anything else?

TIA for any advice,

Kenchie.
