Hi There i hope you can help! I have set up a fully functioning Wireless LAN using Intel anypoint II wireless network to connect a desktop PC and a Laptop. I use Microsoft ICS to share the ADSL internet connection and all seems to work perfectly until I try to transfer a large file over the network from the laptop to the PC and vice versa. After about 5 mins, the transfer stops and one of two things happens.
1) if the transfer was initiated on the laptop, the desktop pc freezes, transfer stops and the desktop needs to be reset. 2) if the transfer was initiated on the desktop, the transfer stops after a while and an error message appears on the desktop stating that "could not replace or create: network is busy" (or words to that effect!)
Copying is fine for small files but not larger ones (say above 10 meg).
I have Cacheman installed as recommended elsewhere but the same problem occurs. Any help would be wonderful. Many thanks.

have you tried new nic's? it might also be the actual router or switch. if signal is good, then it could be either

Laptops are particular like that... Power saving schemes kick in over short periods of time, breaking the stream... It could be other things instead, but look for power stuff under SCREENSAVER/ADVANCED or POWER
