I have a speedtouch 510 ADSL Large files seem to make IE hang and then the ADSL Link is broken. Restarting it solves the problem, but what's wrong with the stupid box? Is is depressed?:)

I doubt that the modem has anything with your problem. Sounds like your XP TCP/IP or network software is back level or has a problem, gets corrupted and hangs requiring a reboot.
