Few days back bought a d-link wired router-switch for sharing my dsl connection.(no problems at all). but recently i bought a laptop (LLL) and thought of going wireless. so i bought a pci 802.11b wireless card and installed in one of my computers XXX(which already has a ethernet card). Now how should i share the connection through this computer XXX ? how should i configure my network in adhoc mode ? how should i connect LLL through XXX to the internet ? my info router ip : 192.168.0.1 compXXX (ether#1 which connects to router): 192.168.0.2 compXXX(pci wireless ether#2): ????? laptop LLL(wireless pccard): ??????

Return the wired router for a wireless router. Ad-hoc is used for connecting two wireless computers without using a router. Use the infrastructure mode. Connect the desktop to the router and use it as the server computer this way you can be mobile with your laptop.

Return the wireless PCI card also because you won't need it with a wireless router. You bought unecessary equipment.
