Have to close PowerPoint to reconnect to LAN

I have a very strange problem. Sometimes after I have pulled out the LAN cable and then plugged it back in, the computer won't reconnect to the network until PowerPoint has been closed down.

Then it automatically reconnects, and I can reopen PowerPoint. Any idea why - or how to avoid this?

Eh? How about the obvious, don't pull the network cable. Why are you doing that anyway?

I'm a little dumbstruck that you actually spent time on that response.

I pull the network cable because I need to move the computer, for example when going to a meeting. Laptops are good like that.

Nornally you wouldn't want an open application when disconnecting a network. A sure way to corrupt files.

You forgot to look into your Crystal Ball Wanderer. If you did you would have seen he was usinga laptop. Don't say you havn't got a Crystal Ball!
