Solved have a great connection but anyone can hook up on it

Specs: Windows XP
I cant monitor my wireless connection... My connections folders are blank,
I have wifi and I want it passowrd protected and I want to monitor it. How do I repair the network connections folder?

To protect your wireless network from unauthorised access you must open your router's configuration utility in any web browser, go to the wireless section and set up a WPA passphrase. You don't set it up in Windows.

See your router setup guide for instructions or visit your router manufacturer's website.

Make and model of your router would be useful - so as to enable folks here help you more easily re' setting a password etc; and also security precautions in general (and specific). As "phill22" advises all router settings are done via the router's home page/configuration/management area. If you have the manual then it will tell what to type into your browser to get there; and also how to set up the password - essential/basic security at least...

These are some the "fixes" suggested - and "may" work depending on circumstances… - for the empty Network Connections folder item.
