I am currently connected both hard wired and wireless. In the hard wired setup I have it setup to specific ip addresses in order to communicate to a Device. In any case, I am trying to connect to the internet via my wireless connection. I get connected, but when I try and open up my browser (firefox) it seems that it goes by the hard wired connection.

Is what I am trying to do even possible given that I gave the hard wired connection specific ip addresses? Is there something I have to change in FireFox or XP?

take the gateway entry off the wired connection tcp/ip settings if you want to use wireless to connect to the internet.
