Out of the blue, I can no longer connect to the internet. I am using a Linksys Wireless G adapter and router. After many tries, I uninstalled the linksys software and reinstalled it. It said congratulations complete, and gave me the new WPA #. When I tried to use it, I got a "warning" hardware id missing. I tried to uninstall the linksys again and it won't let me-installation support file could not be installed, the system cannot find the file specified. I did a system restore. No help. After what I went through to initially set up the linksys, I will never attempt to get help from them again. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Have you tryed not using the linksys software and just using the wireless connection manager in xp?
This would probably involve uninstalling the linksys software and removing your cards entry in device manager.
Then plug the card in again and install using the drivers that windows SHOULd find. You should now be able to connect to your network using the wireless connection in network connections.

But what do you mean about it giving you the new wpa? I was assuming that you were configering your card and not your router.
