Your server is working but nobody can log on unless you give them a password or set it up for anonymous log-ins.

If you want to download you can do it through Internet Explorer or you can use a dedicated FTP Client.

With Internet Explorer you just use:

ftp://ftp.mr-x.is-a-geek.net/

or

ftp://70.69.176.249/

i selected allow login on the anonymous acount. maybe that was unchecked. is there anyway i can check? will this work with a different computer on my LAN? can i 'dial in' the ftp server? and is it the type that asks for the log in, or just one that gives the folders and files. all i really want is one upload/download account for the internet users (so they can give me files too) and then i want the admin account so i can browse my hdd and get anything i want. also, i dont think that there needs to be a ftp.mr-x.is-a-geek.net/ (the ftp. part) because i have selected enable wildcard which lets you put www in front of it. what matters is the ftp:// part right?
it will be on all night so you can fool around with it, upload some files of .txt's to me on what to do properly. thanks
