My employer needs a faster internet connection but does not have the money for a T1 or similar line.
DSL you say... well if it was dependable I would agree.
The users only need net access for http or ftp and some other minor things, and 5 minutes of downtime if not a big deal for them. On the other hand we have a server that acts as the in house and internet mail server. Currently all users (about 60) run through an ISDN line. I was thinking about getting cable or dsl and keeping the ISDN. The server would be the only machine using the ISDN, but what I would also like to see is the ISDN being used as an automatic backup for the rest of the users (in case of cable downtime).
I have several choices, but I would like to know if anyone has any advice or experiences with this.

DSL service it a good choice. Your isp can transfer your current address block (class-c or subnet) on the new connection. Your Isdn router may be used as backup (set the same IP as the main router). Use your firewall as gateway for the LAN.
The corporate DSL pcicing is similar to ISDN but 10 times faster (3Mbps)
