Hello..
I have installed Ghost 8.0 on a 2003 Server.
I have created an image of an XP workstation using ghostcasting.

When I send the image to another workstation using ghostcasting with bootable floppies, the image gets to 25% loaded then an error comes up on the Ghost cast.."Cannot find image file" and the workstation stops loading as well.

any ideas anyone

Thanks John

Not likely juan, if it was the floppy you probably wouldn't even get the image loading.

I have worked with ghostcast but haven't seen this particular problem come up. It does however make me think of a couple of things I would definately look into. The first being your network. It could be a bandwidth problem (or lack thereof) so start looking there. If that's not it, you could have a bad image that needs to be redone.

The bandwith suggestion sounds favourable as there seems to be a serious problem with the traffic on our network. Pupils logging on in this part of school take ages.

Thanks all I need to do now is figure out how to check the bandwidth.

You need to start looking at all your connecting links between your switches and routers and see if you have speed/duplex mismatches . you also have to check the pc nic cards to see what they are set as , if the switches are set as auto the nic cards must be set as auto also and not hardcoded .
