I use to run an ftp server. I took it offline a few months ago because I had no need for it. Well I want to get it back online. But I cannot get it to work. I am using bulletproof ftp and my os is xp. I’ve disabled the windows firewall, port 21 is enabled on my linksys router, I ve set my server as .103 on the network, I ve gone over the setting in bulletproof and they look fine to me.

When I try to login I don’t get the username/password prompt but I get an error message saying "530 username password incorrect" when I try to login from outside the network I get the same message and sometimes it wont connected. I don’t get why I am getting that error message because the username/password prompt doesn’t even come up when I try to login.

I have verizon DSL… I know Comcast does not allow FTP servers. Does verizon not allow FTPs anymore?

PLZ if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. I have Realvnc installed on my server and would let anyone log in to help me out.

Thank you for tour time

Contact Bulletproof's Customer Support. It sounds like you have "autologin" enabled and the password you have cached doesn't match the one the program uses.
