Comment: Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but I'm trying to FTP from work computers to my home computer using WARFtp. I've been doing this with no problems for years. Occasionally my ISP will give me a new IP address at my home and I have to change the settings on the ftp client. This happened just recently and now when I try to connect to home all seems well. It connects to the IP, accepts the user name and password and tells me "Logged in ok." Then I get the following error: "DNS lookup failed. Error: The requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for [non-text characters]" I'm using the IP to connect so I'm not sure why I'm getting a DNS error. Any ideas? Thanks, Chip

Reply: (edit)Thanks Jennifer. I saw that one too, but it didn't help much except that it's pointing to the likely culprit as being something on the host side, saying the error is from the Operating System to the FTP client. Maybe something in my DNS settings. My IP is formatted correctly. I'll look around there.
