Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but didn't see anything else that fit better.

I work for a small company and every now and then we have to upload files to other companies FTP sites. We have just been straight connecting using Internet Explorer or Firefox.

The issue started to occur yesterday around 4 PM PST, and we could not connect to any FTP sites (except for our own.) In internet explorer we are told that "The connection with the server was reset." and in firefox we get "The connection was reset." I have attempted to open up the FTP sites in Filezilla but to no avail.

Here is the tricky part, there are 3 computers. One is connected to it's own router using a different ISP than the other 2, who are connected through the university we are located in. 2 of them are running Windows XP and the other is running MacOS X.

We have long since run out of ideas and are desperate for help, thanks to anything that can be provided.

Your wrote, that you are able to connect to your own ftp server.
I guess it's a local ftp, so you don't need to access this server via ISP.
So if this is right, the problem is located at your ISP.
Call your ISP for any issue concerning ftp connections.

if your own ftp server is not located in your university campus, then it must be the problem with your pc iteself. otherwise, try contacting your isp/university tech support staff.
