Are there any completely FREE ftp servers out there for windows? Not trials or any of that crap. All I keep finding is completely free clients but no Servers.

How about the FTP server built in your OS? It's a part of Internet Information Services (IIS). Make sure you run the IIS lockdown tool when you are finished setting up the FTP server.

I've used War FTP Server see http://www.warftp.org or http://www.jgaa.com.

try googling "free ftp server"

FireZilla see http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/

Black Moon has a stripped down free version http://www.blackmoonftpserver.com

A short article that mentions War along with a couple not free oneshttp://compnetworking.about.com/cs/ftpservers/tp/aatp_winftpserv.htm

I don't much care for the IIS in 2k pro, I did like bulletproof FTP server but it was trial.

I'll have to try war or firezilla. I didn't see Black Moon free version have to look again. I like the options in bulletproof to have seperate users and passwords plus you can see what files people download and so forth.
