Are you serious about forgetting the user-configured password to this 48-ports Gigabit switch? Do you realize that once you hit the Reset Button on the front panel (the manual in link below tells you where to find it and how to do it), all configurations will be lost and you will have to redo everything from scratch.

Yeah I screwed up. But it's not a big problem for configuration though. The only thing to configure is the IP address and the password again.hehe. After that I have to configure VLAN. Hope not to screw up this time. THANKS for the manual.

One word of advice....once you have your switch configured, backup the configuration onto the network somewhere and also a CD.
I wouldn't worry too much about screwing up....we all take a turn at that....LOL....that's why I have saved on our network, a document detailing how to reset all our switches to factory defaults. I've had occasion to mess up the password myself while configuring a new production switch.
