Specs: Windows XP
I have internet service thru a cable company (Brighthouse in FL). If I go to bestbuy and buy a wireless router, will that work for my laptop? It already has a wireless card.

I called the cable company but they said if I want wireless internet, it will be $15 a month.

when I try to browse, it kept directing me to this site web "http://www.upspiral.com/
Does anyone know why and know how to resolve the problem

If you already have a cable modem with a LAN connector, you can connect a wireless router to that modem by wire. Then you can connect your laptop wirelessly to the router.
There is no need for wireless internet at the ISP side.
