Any help would be great:
I have a D-Link router connected to it is :
- my laptop
- my home machineboth are running XP, both have access to the internet.
I have run network setup wizard on both machines, and I have setup the workgroup, but..
on my home machine I can only see it
and on my laptop I just get an error message saying"Workgroup is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource....."
This is my problem. I hope someone can help.

Make sure you have some shared files on the computer your tring in acess. You can do this by <right clicking the folder<Properties<Sharing<and allow sharing.
also if you have the fire wall turned on try turning it off

Do you have Win XP Home or Win XP Pro on these machines? What SP level each PC's OS has?
Do you have any Third Party Firewall in either or both machines?
Have you already enabledNetBIOS over TCP/IP in the Local Area Connection Properties ?
Are you able to Ping each PC from the Other's Command Prompt >?
With these and a few more data , someone can easily help you fix your LAN and File/Printer Sharing problem.
:-)
