Firmware missing fore wireless adapter

Specs: Linux Zorin
Hey my wired conection for my NIC is working fine and can access the networks. But my wireless wont do anything and says that i am missing the firmware. I am using a HP Pavilion dv4-1431 notebook with an altec lansing wireless adapter. My operating system is Linux Zorin based off of ubuntu

I would check on the OEM's website for Linux drivers for the wireless adapter.

You'll need the exact model number from the unit. Check on the bottom for a sticker with the model number. If you find one use that. If you don't, then the model number you entered above will have to do.

Search the OEM's website for that model. When you get to the page for that model, look for downloads.
