Hello, we have a problem like this: a linux firewall is connected to a cisco catalyst. We have a 10.x.x.x private network and the public address (static) is a.b.c.d When configuring the Win9x Clients with the firewall as gateway we can't route outside the private network. We ping both network adapters on the firewall from a client, the firewall browses both private and public networks but doesn't export the route for clients. Does anybody had a similar trouble?
Ah, yes: we set to 1 the content of the IP Forward file in proc/...

Did you make sure you had the default gateway on your firewall machine set to the IP of the WAN interface ? In Linux you need to tell your system what IP's to forward, if you email me I can send you an example and explain a little better.
