I recently installed a vpn. Vpn router on the server side
and Ipsec on client side.

At the moment I'm using Linksys QuickVPN and I'm
attempting to learn Greenbow vpn.

On the server side I have windows firewall on with port
exceptions of Udp port 50/51. Kerbos Udp/Tcp 88. Port
433, 500 and , 4500.
To the most of my knowledge and research these are all
the ones I need open.. are there more?

I also have the HOTFIX installed on the server side that
fixed the issue of Still blocking inbound ICMP requests
even with ports open.

I can connect to the router. Ping router and my server
computer. When firewall is active I cannot view file
resources. When firewall is inactive I can view file
resources .

I'm somewhat stumped here. I need the firewall active due
to this being apart of a buisness. Should I dump XP
firewall and go with something like Zone alarm?
Any Ideas?
There hardest thing here is trail and erroring this sense
i'm not at the office and my boss has limited time to do
this over the phone with me.

Not clear to me exactly what you are doing. You have a vpn router but it appears you are not using its vpn capability but are using a software vpn thru it.

"Still blocking inbound ICMP"
Where? At the router [normal]? From the router to the server?

You mention firewall. But its unclear if you are talking about your router or only software.

I don't see a vpn port listed in your ports above.

Perhaps this will help

You need to clarify either using the router vpn hardware and client software that came with that device or software vpn thru the router to the "server".

Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search
