Hi there,

I recently installed an airlink router (cheap one) on my friends computer and everything seems to be up and running, however, when i load firefox, for some reason when i go to google or even myspace, it assumes i'm from .jp address and proceeds to google.com.jp. I've had this router installed on my computer and never had this problem, any idea what might be causing it? thanks

This problem is not caused by your router. You need to check your firefox/ie settings, also check your hosts file.

I know that some pages assume localization based on other gleened data or reported data. You can visit some sites that turn around and report your OS and browser alone with a few other things. Might re-post this on the web design page. They might know if the airlink has a host name entry or other that might be causing this. Not sure how it could but ask them.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
