I want to share files between my Dell and my new Sony Laptop. I have the Linksys WRT300N wireless router. The Dell desktop is wired to the router and the laptop is wireless. I set up the router and can access the Internet on both pcs. I can also see my desktop pc group name on the laptop. The Laptop cannot access the desktop even though it shows. I cannot find the laptop on the desktop and I have them both set up with the same group name. I know it is an issue between Vista and XP, I just don't know the correct way to set this up.
I eventually want to print through the router from my laptop, but first I want to get the file sharing working.
Thank you.

Help and Support center in xp see "Sharing files and folders overview"
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

Take a look on these articles:
File Sharing with user/group permission in XP Pro
Password Protected File Sharing in Vista
Also make sure you allow the file sharing traffic to go through on Windows firewall or other firewalls on computer. If not, you might disable the firewall till you solve the problem.
Good luck..
