File sharing with Linksys Router

I have a linksys router I installed to make a internet conection to the notebook computer, that works. The problem I have, I cannot figure out how to set up file sharing between the desktop and notebook. I ran the wireless wizard on both but did not help. Firewalls are off. I tried everything

Just adding to my problem, I did ping each computer sucessfully. That seems to be working

You need to setup identical user accounts (username/password) on both systems, install File and Printer Sharing, and share a drive or folder on each.

I had simuliar problems and used the following site to get my network connected.www.homenethelp.com/web/howto/net.asp If you still can't see each other right click on my network places and use find computer and enter computer name.Be patient because it sometimes takes a few minutes to find it and you might have to do it a couple of times before it works.Mine took a few tries but finally connected.Then use map network drive.Let us know if it worked.
