file sharing windows XP with Windows 2000

Specs: Windows 2000
I have one PC(ewr) Wk2 with IP connected to internet via AVMFritzcard with IP and connected to a second PC(targa) win XP with IP via twisted Ethernet

cable. The names (ewr, targa) of the computers are defined in the "Hosts" file. Ping works in both

directions for the PC's and between (ewr) and internet card. The common workgroup name is HOME.

The problem is that (ewr) does not see in Network Places any PC's and (targa) sees only himself with

his shared folders.

In one answer I saw the observation "I'd disable simplified sharing" but I don't know how to do it.

What does that IP represent?

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
