file sharing on xp not working

i have to machines on winXp one with 4 user accounts the other with just the one. They are connected using 2 NICs and im sharing my cable internet without any problems but the files im trying to share cant be accessed because the other computer says
"not accessible you may not have permission to use this network resource"

user accounts with mathing usernames and passwords must be setup on each computer and your builtin firewall must be off unless you enable the guest account.
