I have set up broadband and file sharing for 3 computers. Broadband is fine, and the network seems ok but i cannot share files by the workgroup. Ping works ok 3ms, and I can access shared files by using \\ipaddress\shared. I can also share the printer in the same way. the problem is that I cannot access 'View workgroup computers' and when I do I cannot access the other computers. Set up is Desktop1 - AMD Athlon 1.7Ghz, Realtek 8139 card. Desktop2 AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz - Netgear wireless card. Laptop - Celeron 1Ghz - Netgear wireless card. Router - Netgear DG824M. I have checked workgroup name is the same, and all user profiles are the same on all 3 computers (i.e. all same name/password). I have managed to set access by using shortcuts and IP address but it is only a bodge job and is a long winded way of doing things. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks all.
