Hi!
I was parusing eBay this morning and I
got the sudden urge to create a fiber optic
network in my house when I get back
from school. I was wondering if anyone
could point me in the direction of some
good information on what the standards
are for fiber. I am not sure what the
standards are but I'm sure that there ar a
bunch. Basicly, this is an experiment on
my part and am only intrested in doing
this on the "cheap". So, if anyone has any
information I could use, or could point me
in the right direction as far as what I
would need and what would need to be
done, I would be most appreciative.

thanx all!
-Steve

10 fiber patch cables - $50.00
amp fiber patch panel - $50.00

Fiber is not Star Trek anymore, guys, it's pretty common and the price is coming way down...

Steve- stick with standard ethernet (not atm) and it you can probably do it...

Those prices are beyond rediculous. And fiber optic hub???? We're talking about pulses of light.
