Using Linsys BEFSR-41 router and Linksys LNE100 TX (v5) pc cards for 3 pc wired network. Internet for 1 pc failed. Reinstalled router & card, card shows as working properly on device mgr., cable works, but still no connection. Suggestions? Is possible card not really functioning? Thx.

1 - Try another port on the router.
2 - Try another cable.
3 - Since you have identical cards, try swapping cards between computers.

Many thanks Wizard-Fred for your suggestions, the problem is fixed. Turns out that the cables I made myself work in 3 of the 4 router ports, but that either one plug is too small to fit that last port, or the port is too big or loose for that homemade cable. I put a manufactured cable into that problem port and the one I made into another, and now all work. What a relief! My 15 year old is now back on her pc and off of ours.
