Hi all. I'm badly stuck with a problem and I'm hoping somebody can help me.
The product: (http://www.wancomm.com.au/resources/Expressway%20Datasheet.pdf)
was taken out of a hotel and given to our company this morning. The above link is all I can find out about the product. The manufacturer (tut systems), from what I can gather, has been taken over by Motorolla.Basically, I cannot access the 'user config' through HTTP.
I have the SMP hooked up the PC. Now I thought that if i do an ipcofig release/renew it should give me the IPa of the device. And it does (10.42.1.1). But when I enter this in the browser, the connection just times out or it says 'not available'.
By the way, as you've probably guessed, I'm not in the industry that long (only qualified 4 months ago), and more than likely it's something really simple that I'm doing wrong.
If any of you guys/girls have any pointers or, even better, a solution, I would be most grateful.
Cheers,
Bosey

So 10.42.1.1 is the gateway ip when you do a ipconfig?
ps. that provided url doesn't work for me.
Does it have a serial port? You may need to access its config via a serial console but without access to the manual I can't tell.
Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search
http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/Teachin...

If you google: Expressway SMP IP it's the first result (pdf file)... Yes, gateway IP is 10.42.1.1 and IPa is 10.42.1.17.... Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0
I'm at a loss as to what to do to be honest, giving me a major headache!

Why not contact the company? Their phone number is right on the pdf document.

Tried calling it with the area code (I'm in Ireland) and I cant get connected, just an engaged tone...

I haven't called overseas in years, but it used to be you had to dial the Country Code, then the City, then the phone number (If I remember correctly.) Perhaps you could enlist the assistance of an overseas operator. Just be aware, the actual phone number begins with the area code of 925. It's currently 1858 Eastern here, and California is Pacific time, which means if they're open until 5:00, you still have an hour to reach them today. :)
