Hey everyone,
after networking my home using 1 D-Link Wireless router and 2 D-Link wireless recievers, my laptop (with a reciever) has started to slow down. After checking the Task Manager, i found that explorer.exe is hogging the CPU between 50-90%. When i end explorer.exe everything speeds up.
I installed the Hard Disk Indicator (from LoneWolf, it shows what files are added, modified and deleted on the hard disk). I found that a certain file is added and modified constantly:
Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\S9IVWXUR\WANCommonInterfaceConf...The 'WANCommonInterface' shows up the most, which is really unusual.
So thanks for your help in advance and for the time. Much appreciated.
