hi i have an exchange server 2003 standard on a windows server 2003 standard. now, it works perfectly well, sends and recieves e-mails fine, but there is one glitch - if no-one has been on it for 30mins+, it takes about five minutes for the Outlook Web Access page to appear. Hi Bob, Is that the only problem? Can users can log into the workstations without any problems like delay in authenticating? Anything suspicious in the event logs? Is there a delay accessing IIS - web access to the server other than Exchange? Any delay with an Outlook front end connection or do you only use OWA? 4GB RAM? Isn't there something that has to be adjusted in Exchange over 3 or 4 GB? I don't have that much so it is not an issue for me, but seem to recall seeing references to this somewhere... hey peter, right, there is no delay when accessing the server through outlook. that works fine. what is slow is OWA. you type in the URL (www.???.com/exchange for me), and you instantly get the password box, to type in your credentials. now its after submitting that that it just doesnt do anything for a few minutes. then it suddenly bursts into life. i have checked the logs, and all seems well. 4gb? thanks bob Bob Jonson Thanks You
