we have a team working under us who are allocated to
another company, Is it possible to create an email that will
display the senders address as a different domain without
owning that domain? for example:
jon@home.com sends email that displays as from:
jonsmom@work.com

"without owning that domain?"

Nope

Why aren't they using their own email via the web?

didnt think so
We employ people to work on a specific companies jobs and the plan was to
allow them to email as if from the company rather than ourselves.

1 other option I may propose to the powers that be is for the customer to give
them an email address to use and we set that up as an account for them
