Event Viewer shows a system error at logon: 'The name "OFFICE :1d" could not be registered in the Interface with ID address 10.1.1.3. The machine with IP address 10.1.1.7 [another computer on the network] did not allow the name to be claimed by this machine'. Source: NetBT; EventID 4321.
BUT "OFFICE" is the name of the workgroup, not the machine.
AND the computer gets the IP address 10.1.1.3 anyway.
There seems to be no problem once things get going. Should I leave well-enough alone, or can this be fixed?
