When at college I use a cable & connect via Ethernet. When I come home I have a wireless cardbus adapter for my notebook to connect to our home networking system. Which was always used at home (2years+) with no problems. Now, I believe I'm having some type of conflict between, ethernet & the cardbus. The area of my notebook where the cardbus adapter is plugged starts making a loud constant blow dryer noise. Then the pc starts slowing down, have had to run recovery everytime after I've been home???
I don't think I'm imagining things....HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Sounds like your processor is working overtime. Make sure that you don't have excessive tasks running in the task manager.
