I have just moved into a new flat and have brought with me my belkin wireless router...i need to connect the modem to the router via ethernet, but my flatmate only has a usb modem, is there anything that can convert the wire to an ethernet connection...I have seen adapters that turn usb ports into ethernet ports,so the principle is pretty similar...help! cheers Mike

A speedtouch is a standalone USB modem, you can not use with a router, you need an ethernet dsl modem....

Of course you can use your router with the usb modem. Even if it doesn't have a usb interface.

Got question? Have google..

Look for what is available locally in the way of usb to ethernet adapters as they may be cheaper.

Take it back and try another brand. Some have stronger signals than others.

You can also try rotating the antenna, moving the router to another location (metal in the walls is the signal killer), or spending some more bucks for an aftermarket antenna with signal booster.
