I have two computers connected together by an ethernet cross over cable and it transfers files quickly, but the icon in the tray says there is little or no connectivity. What does this mean?

If you have enabled ICS, it is seeking an Internet Lan Connection, do you have two NIC's ?

What is an ICS and NIS? The two computers connect to the Internet separatly, maybe it means there is little or no connectivity in terms of the Internet Connection? The ethernet connection is very fast and doesn't lag when playing games.

As far as I know when you use a crossover cable to connect two computers, you will always have limited or no connectivity. ICS=internet connection sharing. NIC=Network interface controller.

Thanks
