Hi, when i try to install my ethernet drivers, it speeds through them and says they installed, but they actually didnt

i use the Ethernet Driver MCP55 (v55.21) . my mobo is the fatal1ty an9 32x

i had this problem before, sent it in for repairs. On the repair sheet he wrote "Reconfigured bios, installed / updated xp"

Any ideas on how to get the drivers installed, i have tried, cd, and file from abit website
