Solved ethernet cable wiring issues

Specs: Windows 7
ran one 25' patch cable to a splitter which runs out two 25' patch cables to rj45 blocks.cannot get any internet,however tested cables and all look okay

Network wiring is not telephone wiring. Telephone you can run in series or "split". You can't do that with network wiring. Each wire must terminate at the router.

What is the "splitter"? It needs a Hub or Switch to have a live connection from one cable.

I eliminated the splitter and ran a direct wire from router,works well.
I thought you could split Ethernet the same as phone line
