Strange problem with network. It's a peer-to-peer network with three computers. The problem is that when a certain Win XP machine tries to access a share on a certain W2K pro machine, the below error message results:
"You cannot connect to this computer because there are already too many connections made."
At most there are two computers connected to this computer at any give time, so this error seems bogus. The user of the XP machine has been able to solve this problem temporarily by rebooting the W2K machine, but the problem keeps coming back. I have no idea what could be causing it and would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks.
When you right click the directory you are trying to share and look at the sharing properties, there is a user limit. You can have it set to the maximum allowed by clicking a radio button and doing so. Have you tried this? hth, if not mail me without the NoSPaM mAPSoN
