error 769 connecting to the internet

Specs: Windows XP
when i attempt to connect to the internet i get the message error "769 destination cannot be reached".
i have reset the router, i have made sure the network adapter is enabled, i have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for the network adapter, i have made sure that the lan connection is showing up in network connections and it says it is connected.

but every time i try to dial in to connect to my dsl weith primus it gives me the error message.
I am running windows xp with service pack 2 and .netframework 2.0

Open the routers configuration web interface and check, whether the router can authenticate properly at your ISP and get a public ip at the status page in the web interface.
