I use a DOS Boot Disk with the 'net use' command, in order to access a server, on the network. Each time I enter my username and password I get the following error message "Error 5 : Access has been denied".
Is there a solution, to this problem?
Regards,
Dan

Obviously, that particular user has no access to whatever share you're attempting to access.
Why are you using a DOS boot disk? That's rather unusual. Have you tried running the netuse command from a Command Prompt within Windows?
Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Thank you for your reply to my message.
The reason I use a DOS boot disk, is to access a Server which is using Ghost, for imaging purposes. The image, which is designed for workstations in my organisation, is sitting on a particular server which has Symantec Ghost installed.
The net use command will work, from within windows, but I need to boot from DOS, so as to copy down a clean image, onto each workstation.
Other users have no difficulty in getting logged in, whereas I constantly get that error message "Access has been denied". I have given myself full permissions, on the actual share, on the 'Ghost Server'.

I'm doing the exact same thing, and getting the same error. Even trying to authenticate with the Domain root password, I get the access denied error. Even trying to access a test share on a different machine with it set for Everyone / Full Control, I still get an access denied error! Any ideas out there?
BTW: This is a disk created by Ghost.
