Specs: Windows XP
I would like to authorize a friend in my house to access my wifi I was told to go to http://192.1.1 and enter the MAC address of my friend. However on the site I was unable to enter the information into the box - how can I authorize my friend to use my wifi? Thank you!

Well there are a number of variables to wireless networking and mac filtering is only one of them. You may or may not have mac filtering enabled in the router.
Since you are unable to enter details of your guest's mac that would tend to indicate you do not have mac filtering enabled. What kind of security encryption do you have in place? What if any error messages do you get when your guest tries to connect?
Is your SSID being broadcast? Is the IP of your router? Not all operate on that default? What make/model is the router? Have you read the user manual?
