I would like to know if it possible to skip the user name and password prompting of the Microsoft Network Client 3.0.
I need to do this for a computer that runs unattended, powered on by a timer.
I have tried to use the /switches indicated in the NET START and NET LOGON commands, but everytime the computer turns on it waits for the user to enter the user name and password.
Any ideas?

To Jaganatan:

The most simple solution is to use an external timer used to switching lights or appliances (Check at Radio Shack or similars). There are mechanical timers and digital timers. If you want to turn on and turn off your PC at the exact time, try to using a digital timer which normally includes minutes and seconds adjustements (some models also include day of the week adjustements). Keep in mind that most timers are operated by relays and they are the equivalent of pulling or pushing the power cord of your PC from or into and AC outlet (which is never recommending. Sometimes a PC can not turn on correctly by this method). I do not know if some software can be used to power on a PC by modem, lan, etc. Hope this helps.
