dwl g700ap wireless access point password set

Specs: Windows 7
i have dlink dwl g700ap wireless access point.. router will show default and no password. i try to connect by ip as per manual guide by cannot.my default gateway is taking lan wire from builing internet that used cisco. please help me ..

Your Access Point is not on the same subnet as your router. Manually configure your computers IP to -> then you can connect to the WAP and configure its IP to -> then set your IP back to automatic.

Now you should be able to access it on the new address from any of your computers on the LAN. You will also want to go into your router and change the DHCP range to 1-253 so that it does not use the WAPs IP.
