Hi,

I installed a CCTV DVR Card in a Pc to digitally record cctv.

I would like to be able to watch the cctv cameras from home, however i could only get it to work when my laptop is connected on the internet network through the 8 port hub.

It uses ports 8080 & 8084, and ICS on the XP PC was set to forward them on the DVR Server.

Just if it may help I connect to the XP pc by VPN from home, and the XP pc also has some sort of banking software which allows credit card transaction to be made by the 3 pc's networked to it.

Could it be that I also have to set something on the Alcatel Speed Touch Home Modem, however I never set anyting on the modem when I had set up VPN server 2 months ago.

I tried connecting to the DVR server when and when not connected to VPN.

see link for network diagram.
