hello, i have a question regarding wireless routers. i have two wireless routers, a linksys WRT54GS and a D-link DI-524. how i have it set up currently, i have my linksys router enabled with DHCP and that is also my firewall t words my internet connection. the problem is that the linksys router cant cover the entire house with wireless. what i would like to do is somehow sync the two routers both wirelessly and also through the lan ports. i have tried to disable DHCP on my DI-524 but all it does is create a automatic private ip address when a PC is connected through its LAN port. you can emulate the DI-524's firmware here: http://support.dlink.com/emulators/... i dont know what i have to do to get it to do what i want! i have a lot of shares between PCs and i would need to be able to connect to them through both routers. i created a model image of how i want my network to be here: http://dtechd.com/network.jpg any help would make me happy :D

crossover cable from internet routers lan port to second routers lan [not wan] port. Disable dhcp on 2nd router and it will flow from the first. Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?

WOW thank you soo much. ive been trying to do this for a long time. my problem was that i kept on putting the uplink into the wan port, not the lan port. thank you!!
