I have a Linksys Stackpro II(model #DSHUB24). There's not much technical manuals for this device so I hope you can help me...

When I connect one computer to this hub I receive limited or no connectivity error. Meanwhile the light that should signify the connection works is solid (orange on top, green on bottom). I try to check the default gateway in ipconfig and it is blank.

However, when I connect a second computer both lights go solid for a few seconds then turn off for a few seconds then turn back on and then off and this repeats over and over. So neither computer now has any sort of connection with the network.

What is going on?

So what else is connected to this hub besides the two computers.

Unless you have a modem/router then you are always going to get a blank for default gateway.

How are these computers getting their IP address. If it is via DHCP then without a DHCP server then there will no no valid IP addresses and no communication.
