Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit
I have had an ongoing issue of dropping my internet connection. I have a Dell Desktop running Windows Vista Home Premium. My desktop is wired to a D-Link DGL-4300 router. I use the wireless features for 2 game systems that I have down in the basement.
I will be online, then suddenly my connection drops. It takes a very long time to get it back. When I click on diagnose and repair,I get a few different error messages. Most of the time,I just wait and the connection returns, only to drop again. I have a notebook that I am running XP on and have no issues at all. Connection is solid. Here are the few error messages that am getting:
a)Cannot communicate with Primary DNS Server?
b)There may be a problem with your DNS configuration. Windows failed to find the well known host www.microsoft.com using DNS.
The server may be down
c) The following may need to be adjusted in order for you to connect. Talking about Windows Firewall
I have no idea what to try next. Its just been driving me nuts lately
