ok,

look I really need help. Whenever I try to download something what I do is I click on the download link(on the website)and then it goes to this white page with a little box at the top left corner with like a triangle, a square, and a circle. so maybe it means i'm missing something and I know its not the website cuz it does that to every website I go to and try to download anyfile. anyways, when it goes to that weird page with the box at the top left corner, the URL says the website and at the end of the URL it shows the file's name and then a .exe at the end, so that means that my PC is trying to download the file, but It won't work! ANY IDEAS? Help apprecatied.

have you tried the right-click then save as method when downloading. Also run spyware, it might be hijacking ftp transfers and redirecting it to a site. another thing you can also do is to reser all of your web settings to default. goto tools>internet settings. Then goto advanced tab then select reset defaults.
